Description For UI Engineer - Business Intelligence Engineering

Netflix is seeking a UI Engineer to join their Business Intelligence Engineering team, which is dedicated to developing and maintaining robust data storytelling products. The role focuses on the Finance Data Universe, encompassing all aspects of Netflix's finances including revenue, forecasting, expenses, content finance lifecycle, payments, and FX natural hedging. The team is expanding its framework to other areas such as Talent, GenAI, Ads, and more.

As a UI Engineer, you'll work alongside Data Engineers and Analytical Engineers to create comprehensive data stories through interconnected, high-performance web applications. The position requires expertise in front-end development, particularly with JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Vue.js, and data visualization libraries like D3.js. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing intuitive user interfaces that can effectively communicate complex data relationships.

The role offers the opportunity to work on some of Netflix's most utilized internal tools, bringing together multiple data sources, metrics, and predictive analytics to inform business decisions. You'll collaborate closely with both creative and business stakeholders, iterating on designs based on user feedback, and partner with R&D teams to integrate new metrics and data sources.

This position is ideal for someone who combines strong technical skills with a passion for data visualization and user experience. You'll be part of a team whose products serve as company-wide sources of truth and play a crucial role in creating a shared understanding of Netflix's business performance. The role offers the chance to impact how Netflix understands and utilizes its financial and operational data across the organization.
