Backend Engineer - SDE I

Nium, the Leader in Real-Time Global Payments, is seeking a Backend Engineer - SDE I to join our team. As a Backend Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering team responsible for building and maintaining the company's global financial infrastructure. We are looking for talented engineers who are passionate about creating innovative and scalable solutions that help Nium deliver on its mission of making money movement seamless and borderless.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver and own large features end-to-end
• Collaborate with our product team to deliver high impact for our customers
• Proactively identify ways to monitor the quality, reliability, and security of our systems
• Abide by engineering best practices

Required Skills & Experience:

• 1-2 years of backend engineering experience (recommended, not required)
• Experience building and operating highly available backend distributed systems
• Proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, C++, C#, Golang
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
• Passion for turning business and product ideas into engineering solutions
