As a Senior R&D Engineer in the Instruments and Accessories (I&A) team, you'll be instrumental in advancing medical device technology through design improvements of disposable endoluminal devices. The role combines creative problem-solving with technical expertise, focusing on developing safe, effective, and scalable medical device solutions.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge medical robotics technology while collaborating with cross-functional teams and physicians. You'll be involved in the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization, utilizing your expertise in mechanical engineering and medical device development.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years of medical device experience and strong technical skills, particularly in Solidworks and manufacturing processes. Responsibilities For Senior R&D Engineer, I&A

  • Participate in ideation, development, commercialization, and sustaining of endoluminal devices
  • Design, iterate and prototype devices and fixtures for testing and manufacturing
  • Perform root cause analysis and generate reports on unexpected failures
  • Derive design requirements, failure modes, design outputs, risk controls
  • Document test protocols, test reports and design history file elements
  • Participate in group design reviews and technical strategy discussions
  • Communicate and estimate planned dates, progress and efforts of work
  • Present technical content to non-technical teams and physicians

Requirements For Senior R&D Engineer, I&A

  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience in medical devices
  • Skilled in creating complex components and assemblies in Solidworks
  • Skilled in design for manufacturing and fabrication methods
  • Skilled in DOE, root cause analysis and characterization studies
  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration
  • Skilled in project management activities for development
  • B.S. minimum in Mechanical, Material Science, or Biomedical Engineering
