Principal Backend-SRE DevOps Software Engineer on Starfleet

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Backend-SRE DevOps Software Engineer for their Starfleet program in Aurora, CO. This role is part of the Payload and Ground Systems organization, supporting critical national security missions. The position combines Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) with DevOps practices, focusing on backend systems.

The role is based in a collaborative team of approximately 25 staff members, organized into small agile scrum teams. As a Principal Engineer, you'll be expected to quickly master mission and system domain knowledge, mentor others, and drive technical advancement. You'll be responsible for designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems while ensuring high reliability and performance.
