Description For Lead Data Engineer

Notabene, backed by Y Combinator and other leading investors, is revolutionizing the crypto economy by making transactions safe and compliant. As a Lead Data Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of shaping how crypto transactions are settled globally. This role combines technical expertise with business impact, as you'll be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, scaling warehouse architecture, and ensuring data insights are optimized across the organization.

Working in a remote-first environment across three continents, you'll collaborate with stakeholders to transform BI requirements into accessible, real-time reporting. The role requires expertise in ETL pipelines, data governance, and security, particularly around PII data. You'll use technologies like dbt, Airbyte, Cube, DuckDB, Redshift, and Superset to build robust data infrastructure.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of data engineering experience with large datasets, strong SQL and Python skills, and AWS expertise. You'll need to be both technically proficient and business-savvy, capable of working with finance, revenue, and ops leaders. Experience in crypto or fintech is a plus, but not required.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company that's becoming increasingly vital to the crypto ecosystem. You'll help shape the future of crypto transactions while working with a diverse, global team serving 100+ customers, including major financial institutions and fintechs. The role offers the chance to drive forward a data-driven culture and make significant impact on strategic decisions at both executive and business unit levels.
