Backend Software Engineer

Nozomi Networks is hiring a Backend Software Engineer to join its expanding team in Mendrisio, Switzerland. This role involves designing and implementing features, reducing tech debt, supporting team processes, and contributing to overall success in a fast-paced, agile environment. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing using available technologies while learning new ones
• Implementing medium to large size features while reducing system tech debt
• Supporting colleagues to achieve team success
• Championing team processes
• Making a positive impact on the whole team
• Embodying Nozomi Networks Cultural Pillars and mission
• Taking ownership of user-facing features from inception to release

Required skills:

• Proficiency in Golang, Ruby, or other widely used languages
• Strong software design skills
• Expertise in algorithms and data structures
• Experience building highly reliable distributed systems at scale
• Automated Testing experience (TDD, BDD, etc.) is a plus
• Ability to operate with strong confidentiality and data privacy protocols
