Datacenter Operations Engineer

NVIDIA is seeking a motivated Datacenter Operations Engineer for their IPP (infrastructure, planning, and process) Datacenters. This role involves leading datacenter/lab buildouts, DC Engineering, and related planning. The successful candidate will develop schedules and execution plans, drive execution through various PICs, and plan for highest efficiency within the DC environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Handling datacenter buildouts/retrofits
• Providing recommendations on DC/Lab layouts, network BOM analysis, and construction specifications
• Maintaining internal DCIM tool with new installs/changes
• Addressing customer concerns for DC floor-related issues
• Developing standards, best practices, and SOPs for DCs
• Assisting in new DC management product rollout projects
• Driving DC audits and supporting EHS initiatives
• Collaborating with Product and hardware teams on new systems product specifications & roadmap planning

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in a Tech-related Major or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience leading DC buildouts and operations
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Systems administration
• Experience in capacity planning and developing roadmaps
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Visio and CAD experience for Lab R&D projects and Rack Management
• Lab/Datacenter Procurement Experience
• Experience handling PDUs and Power in Labs
• Working knowledge of basic SQL queries (for DCIM reporting)
