Description For Senior ASIC Design Engineer - Hardware

NVIDIA is seeking a top-notch Senior ASIC Design Engineer to join their clocks group. This role involves collaborating with architects, ASIC designers, and verification engineers to design high-frequency clocks for GPUs and CPUs. The successful candidate will engage with multiple teams to design clocks that satisfy architectural constraints, deliver clock information to various teams, debug silicon bugs, and propose improvements to current designs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating on high-frequency clock design for GPUs and CPUs
  • Engaging with multiple teams to meet architectural constraints
  • Delivering clock information to verification, timing, and DFT teams
  • Debugging GPU or CPU clock silicon bugs in new products
  • Designing clocking structures to overcome sub-micron challenges
  • Identifying and implementing improvements in GPU/CPU clocking design

Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (MS preferred)
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in RTL design (Verilog), verification, and logic synthesis
  • Strong coding skills in Perl or other industry-standard scripting languages
  • Understanding of sub-micron silicon issues (noise, cross-talk, OCV effects)
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamically changing environment
