Senior System Software Test Engineer, Networking

NVIDIA is seeking a top-tier Software Test Engineer to join the NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux Verification Engineering Team. This role involves leading verification of groundbreaking features of NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux and taking full ownership of tasks such as participating in requirements and design reviews, developing test plans, test execution, and automated test development for specific features.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic Software Verification Team responsible for qualifying the Network Operating System software that powers data centers accelerated, disaggregated, and software-defined to meet the exploding growth in AI and high-performance computing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Functional Testing of Layer2 and Layer3 features of NVIDIA-Mellanox Spectrum series Ethernet Switch systems running NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux
• Writing detailed feature and system test plans, defining and designing test beds and topologies
• Reporting issues and validating fixes and workarounds
• Developing automated test suites for NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux features
• Building and maintaining automation for continuous functional regression
• Collaborating with design, test, and other internal engineering groups

Requirements:

• B.S degree or equivalent experience in Engineering/Computer Science/related field
• 5+ years of proven experience in Software Quality Engineering
• Strong technical abilities, problem-solving, design, coding, and debugging skills
• Hands-on experience with Layer2 and Layer3 protocols (MLAG, VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, EVPN, etc.)
• Experience with test tools from Ixia or Spirent and test management tools
• Strong skills in Python or other scripting languages
• Good experience working on Unix or Linux-based OS
• Multi-tasking ability and good interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of software engineering practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge in performance testing and troubleshooting performance issues
• Experience with CI methodology & tools (Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, etc.)
