NVIDIA is seeking a senior verification engineer to verify that their software handles errors correctly and behaves safely across all operating conditions, enabling the next generation of safe, AI-powered autonomous driving systems. As part of a multi-functional team, you'll coordinate and develop novel safety assurance methodologies, including definition of safety metrics, data and simulation driven safety verification of the entire autonomous driving system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining safety verification plans and test cases across multiple integration levels and test platforms
- Collaborating with architecture/safety/design/verification teams for execution and prioritization
- Driving continuous improvement of methods, processes and tools for requirements- and data-driven safety evaluation of autonomous vehicles and ADAS
- Providing high-quality documentation and support for safety verification
- Presenting safety evaluation results to key stakeholders and management
Requirements:
- MS or higher in Computer Science, Robotics or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience in verification
- Structured approach to system and software development
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
- V&V of safety-critical systems
- Data science and statistics experience
- Programming skills in Python and C++
- Experience in Safety, systems engineering, Machine Learning or Robotics
- Knowledge of sensor technologies (e.g., radar, lidar, camera)
- Experience with System safety methodologies & practices (FMEA, FTA, STPA) and Safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508, UL4600, ISO21448)
