Description For Vehicle Test Engineer - New College Graduate

NVIDIA, a leader in accelerated computing, is seeking a Vehicle Test Engineer for new college graduates to join their autonomous driving team. This role, based in Stuttgart, Germany, involves supporting the integration, adaptation, and testing of NVIDIA's vehicle automation software in customer vehicle variants.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installing, troubleshooting, and operating software
  • Collecting test data and tuning parameters live in-car
  • Understanding quality standards and functionality of new features
  • Analyzing and diagnosing metrics to improve product experience

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering
  • Knowledge of embedded systems, C/C++, and scripting languages like Python
  • Proficiency with Linux and QNX environments
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for autonomous driving or software engineering

  • Support the integration, adaptation and testing of NVIDIA vehicle automation software in customer vehicle variants
  • Install, trouble-shoot and operate software
  • Collect test data or tune parameters live in-car
  • Understand the quality standards and expected functionality of brand-new features
  • Analyze & diagnose underlying events contributing to metrics, identify issues and help improve product experience

Requirements For Vehicle Test Engineer - New College Graduate

  • Good knowledge of embedded systems and C/C++ and a scripting language (Python, Bash, etc)
  • Ability to work efficiently with Linux and QNX environments on the command line
  • Good communication and organization skills

  • Soft skills for customer interaction
  • Passion for working on cars, autonomous driving or software engineering
  • Onsite attendance in one of the development and testing locations in the greater Sindelfingen / Stuttgart area
  • Flexibility of work hours and willingness to travel around Europe to support testing
