Description For DB Engineer
Octopol's is seeking a DB Engineer to ensure the availability, reliability, performance, and security of their databases. The role involves monitoring and optimizing database performance, implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions, managing database security, and participating in database design and development projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and optimizing database performance
- Planning and implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions
- Managing database security, including data encryption
- Performing database maintenance
- Participating in database design and development projects
- Sharing knowledge with the team and community
- Supporting different departments on data preparation
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SQL Server, query tuning, and working on both application and infrastructure sides. They should have a solid understanding of T-SQL, experience with database replication and migration, and be service-oriented with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities For DB Engineer
- Monitor and optimize database performance
- Plan and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions
- Take care of database security, including data encryption
- Database maintenance
- Participate in database design and development projects that meet business requirements
- Share knowledge with the team and the community
- Support different departments on data preparation level
Requirements For DB Engineer
- At least 5 years of experience with SQL server
- At least 3 years of experience in query tuning, including monitoring solutions and analyzing execution plans
- Working on application and infrastructure side
- Solid T-SQL understanding: views, triggers, stored procedures, code optimization, indexes
- Experience in building replicas, DR, backups, log shipping mechanisms
- Optimizing and improving processes
- Experience in migration between SQL versions
- Experience in working with SSIS, SSRS
- Service-Oriented with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in non-standard hours
