Description For Software Engineer 2 - Fullstack (Auth0)

Okta, The World's Identity Company, is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to join their Auth0 team. This role focuses on enhancing the developer journey by designing and implementing secure and collaborative features for enterprise customers. The Enterprise Management Team, powered by Auth0 technology, provides authentication and authorization solutions that handle over 100 million daily logins globally.

The position involves working with modern technologies including NodeJS, TypeScript, React, and databases like Postgres/MongoDB, with services running on both AWS and Azure. You'll be contributing to three main themes: Account Governance, Team Management, and Team Security.

As a Software Engineer 2, you'll report to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for creating an enterprise-ready experience for customers while maintaining engineering excellence. The role requires collaboration with a diverse team, including engineers, product managers, and designers.

Key responsibilities include API development, feature implementation, and supporting team growth. The ideal candidate should have 2-4 years of experience, strong communication skills, and expertise in React, JavaScript, and NodeJS. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and identity management is a plus.

  • Be part of a diverse and collaborative team consisting of engineers, a product manager and a designer
  • Design and develop features, APIs, and fixes to handle our current and future scale
  • Help our customers have a great experience with our products

  • Help detect technical improvement opportunities and take action to implement them
  • Engage with the support team as the last level of escalation for tickets
