Description For Associate DevOps Engineer

Ontic, a software company specializing in threat management and risk mitigation for corporate and government security professionals, is seeking an Associate DevOps Engineer to join their team in Austin, Texas. This role bridges the gap between development and operations, focusing on ensuring the highest level of security for cloud-based services, particularly for government clients.

As an Associate DevOps Engineer at Ontic, you'll be an integral part of major cloud migration projects, moving critical services to AWS GovCloud. You'll collaborate closely with DevOps professionals in India and the U.S., contributing to ongoing projects and support initiatives. This position requires 2-3 years of DevOps experience, with a strong background in AWS, Linux administration, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code tools.

Key responsibilities include deploying infrastructure on cloud platforms like AWS and GCP, server monitoring and troubleshooting, integrating container technologies, automation using scripting languages, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and database administration. You'll also be responsible for maintaining application SLAs and ensuring the security of cloud-based services.

Ontic offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $150,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k, stock options, and various stipends for learning and home office setup. The company values diversity and encourages applications from candidates who may not meet every single requirement.
