OpenAI is seeking a driven solutions leader with a product mindset as the founding Partner Solutions Architect to own the technical engagement with systems integrators (including GSIs, RSIs, and boutique SIs) and ensure their customers achieve tangible business value with GenAI. This role involves deeply embedding with SIs as the technical lead, identifying high-value use cases, providing technical enablement, and accelerating partners' time to unlock distribution and adoption. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Applied Research, and Product teams, reporting to the Head of Solutions Architecture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as a technical thought partner to ideate and build novel applications on OpenAI's API for SI customers
- Identifying the best applications of GenAI in various industries and building/qualifying comprehensive backlogs to support AI roadmaps
- Accelerating customer time to value through hands-on prototypes and strategic guidance
- Managing relationships with SI and customer stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and scaling of applications
- Codifying solution packages and architectural patterns to accelerate deployment
- Leading technical support during initial projects and mentoring SI technical teams
- Scaling the Partner Solutions Architect function by sharing knowledge and best practices
- Delivering high-signal feedback to Product and Research teams
The ideal candidate will have:
- 8+ years of technical consulting experience
- Industry experience in programming languages like Python or Javascript
- Experience leading complex implementations of Generative AI and/or traditional ML solutions
- Experience building prototypes using the OpenAI API
- Strong leadership in complex technical projects, ideally within or through an SI
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- A problem-solving mindset and willingness to acquire new knowledge
- A humble attitude and eagerness to help colleagues
This role is based in London, UK, with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week. Relocation assistance is offered to new employees.
