As a Full Stack Developer, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing bots that automate data retrieval and processing. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, product managers, and leadership to ensure seamless integration with their platform. The role offers opportunities to explore and integrate generative AI technologies to enhance automation workflows, enabling greater scalability and efficiency.

This is a fully remote position based in Latin America (LATAM). The company has raised $6M in seed funding from notable investors including Y Combinator, Bayhouse Capital, Global Founders Capital, and others. They've completed their AICPA SOC 2, Type II security certification and serve tens of thousands of users and hundreds of companies.
The compensation package includes a salary range of $60K - $85K (depending on experience), paid time off, and a stipend for home office setup. Optery values diversity and provides equal opportunities to all candidates regardless of their background.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Node.js, web scraping, and automation tools, along with a solid understanding of database systems and security best practices. The role requires someone who can work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Responsibilities For Full Stack Developer - (Node.js, LATAM-based)
- Develop, maintain, and optimize web crawlers, automation tools, and workflows
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code in Node.js
- Implement and integrate APIs with third-party services
- Optimize bot performance to ensure scalability and efficiency
- Debug and resolve technical issues related to automation and web scraping
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and propose technical solutions
- Ensure security and compliance best practices are followed when handling user data
Requirements For Full Stack Developer - (Node.js, LATAM-based)
- 6+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer building web applications
- 2+ years of experience with Node.js in a meaningful project
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture
- Experience with web scraping, web crawlers, and automation tools
- Knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, SQL, NoSQL such as Redis, Elasticsearch, MongoDB)
- Understanding of user data security best practices
- Experience working with REST APIs and third-party integrations
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and front-end development
- Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment
