Description For Account Cloud Engineer (Pre sales)

Oracle is seeking an experienced Account Cloud Engineer (Pre-sales) to join their team in Amsterdam and Austria. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, focusing on helping enterprises leverage Oracle Cloud Technologies. As an ACE (Account Cloud Engineer), you'll work closely with the Oracle Digital sales team, supporting SMB customers in the Netherlands.

The position requires a unique blend of technical knowledge and business acumen. You'll be responsible for the complete customer lifecycle, from project conception to implementation and expansion. Working alongside Cloud Sales Representatives, you'll develop sales strategies, identify new workloads, and conduct technical due diligence to achieve technical wins.

Key aspects of the role include maintaining awareness of customer infrastructure, orchestrating technical resources, and building consumption plans. You'll need to demonstrate leadership capabilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate complex customer needs into workable solutions. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with deep knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure and Platform solutions.

Responsibilities For Account Cloud Engineer (Pre sales)

  • Orchestrate all technical activity in the account and lead presales activities
  • Define account strategy and drive consumption growth
  • Understand customers overall portfolio, IT and business priorities
  • Drive effectiveness and impact in customer engagement
  • Present Oracle's technology demonstrating infrastructure, security and integration capabilities
  • Act as customer single point of contact for cloud engineering
  • Lead virtual teams to support solution design, architecture, POCs, and technical workshops
  • Lead activities to position Oracle's Cloud value

Requirements For Account Cloud Engineer (Pre sales)

Kubernetes
  • 5+ years experience working in a similar role
  • Broad technical experience of Cloud Infrastructure and Platform solutions
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in understanding complex customer ecosystems
  • Familiar with Architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, ECal)
  • High level of commercial business understanding
  • Experience in engaging and influencing stakeholders
  • English and German language proficiency
