Autonomous Database Engineer (Cloud DBA & DevOps)

The Autonomous Database Team at Oracle is seeking a skilled Cloud DBA & DevOps Engineer to join their team responsible for building cloud service frameworks powering Oracle Autonomous Database services. This role combines database engineering with cloud operations, focusing on automating deployment, scaling, and management of databases in the cloud.

The position involves working with Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Layer, handling lifecycle management operations, and performing autonomous operations based on internal and external events. You'll have the unique opportunity to contribute to Oracle's full technology stack, from database kernel to cloud service platform and customer-facing portals.

As an Autonomous Database Engineer, you'll be responsible for deploying fixes for the Autonomous Database service, with a deep focus on architecture, production operations, performance management, and release engineering. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional experiences while ensuring system reliability and performance.

The role requires expertise in Oracle Database technology, including RAC, Dataguard, ASM, and RMAN. You'll need strong development skills in Python, shell scripting, SQL, and Terraform, along with solid Linux experience. Knowledge of cloud computing architecture, particularly in Identity, Compute, and Networking, is essential.
