The Autonomous Database Team at Oracle is seeking a skilled Cloud Database Engineer to join their innovative team responsible for building the Cloud service framework powering various Oracle Autonomous Database cloud services, including ADW and ATP. This is a remote position based in either Czech Republic or Spain.
As an Autonomous Database Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of database automation and cloud services, working with cutting-edge technology that powers Oracle's cloud infrastructure. The role combines traditional database administration with modern DevOps practices, focusing on automation, scalability, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating and maintaining cloud database services within the region

Technical Requirements:

- Experience with DevOps practices and continuous deployment

Responsibilities For Autonomous Database Engineer (Cloud DBA & DevOps) - CZ/ES
- Operate and perform maintenance to cloud database services running within the region
- Assess, prioritize, and communicate risks and urgency to leadership and engineering teams
- Take ownership of implementation and production operations of core system platform solutions
- React to production deficiencies by implementing automation, self-healing, and real-time monitoring
- Ensure thorough documentation of incidents
- Stay informed of cloud infrastructure stacks
Requirements For Autonomous Database Engineer (Cloud DBA & DevOps) - CZ/ES
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or technical field, or equivalent work experience
- Solid experience with Linux
- Experience troubleshooting complex software and/or networking issues
- Knowledge of Cloud computing architecture, primarily Identity, Compute and Networking
- Expert level experience with Oracle Database technology including RAC, Dataguard, ASM, RMAN
- Development skills utilizing Python, shell, SQL, Terraform
- Prior DevOps or continuous delivery and deployment experience
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Proven ability to quickly learn new technical domains
