Autonomous Database Engineer (Cloud DBA & DevOps)

The Autonomous Database Team at Oracle is seeking a skilled Cloud DBA & DevOps Engineer to join their innovative team. This role focuses on building and maintaining the Cloud service framework that powers Oracle's Autonomous Database cloud services, including ADW and ATP.

As an Autonomous Database Engineer, you'll be responsible for the critical infrastructure that automates deployment, scaling, and management of databases in the cloud. Built on Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), this position offers a unique opportunity to work across the full technology stack, from database kernel to cloud service platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain cloud database services within assigned regions
• Implement automation and self-healing mechanisms for production systems
• Interface with senior management and various delivery teams
• Ensure system reliability and performance
• Handle lifecycle management operations through APIs

Technical Requirements:

• Expert-level experience with Oracle Database technology (RAC, Dataguard, ASM, RMAN)
• Strong Linux administration skills
• Development expertise in Python, Shell scripting, SQL, and Terraform
• Deep understanding of cloud computing architecture
• Experience with DevOps practices and continuous deployment
