Description For Bilingual (Japanese) Oracle Database Exadata SME - Strategic Customer Service Manager (SCSM)

Oracle is seeking a Bilingual (Japanese) Oracle Database Exadata SME for the role of Strategic Customer Service Manager (SCSM) in their Database Cloud and Exadata Support department. This position is part of the Strategic Customers Program (SCP), which aims to provide optimal product and service experience for strategic accounts running business on Oracle's Cloud Database Platforms.

The SCSM will build long-term relationships with assigned customers, serve as a single point of contact, and work proactively to drive the adoption of known standard methodologies and proactive patching compliance. They will advocate for the customer and become a trusted advisor, aligning with customer stakeholders up to and including C-Level. The role involves coordinating activities with Oracle stakeholders (Sales account team, engineering, and service teams) to support the implementation of Oracle's account strategy for the customer.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as a single point of contact for named accounts
  • Building long-term relationships with key customer contacts
  • Understanding the customer's IT landscape and roadmap
  • Working proactively with customers to drive best-practice compliance
  • Collaborating with Oracle Support, Development, and Operations teams
  • Participating in monthly Scorecard Review meetings with customers' executives
  • Managing a portfolio of 6-9 strategic clients

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 10+ years of experience in senior positions of professional Enterprise implementation, IT Service Management, Program Management, or Account Management
  • Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, business acumen, and relationship building abilities
  • Experience with large transformation projects and global delivery
  • Knowledge of Oracle Technology (e.g., Exadata, Database Cloud, ZDLRA)
  • BS/MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science/IT
  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, Prince2, OCP/OCM are preferred
