Description For Continual Service Improvement Engineer

Oracle NetSuite's global Continual Service Improvement (CSI) team is seeking an experienced engineer to join their collaborative team spanning Austin, Brno, and Sydney. This role is critical in maintaining and improving the customer-facing production environment through ITIL and quality management practices. The CSI Engineer will work directly with NetSuite teams and regional Event Managers to manage, record, and resolve production issues while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The position requires strong technical skills in Python and SQL, combined with excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills. You'll be responsible for managing customer-facing alerts, conducting postmortems, and implementing long-term solutions to prevent recurring issues. Responsibilities For Continual Service Improvement Engineer

  • Own all internal and public communication regarding customer-facing alerts and escalations in production environment
  • Own all alerts and escalations in development environment
  • First line of internal communication for ongoing events
  • Conduct timely, in geo postmortems for all events that impact customers
  • Use CSI toolset to summarize, understand, and escalate customer-impacting issues
  • Audit past events to determine true customer impact
  • Help identify areas for improvement in processes, procedures, monitoring among Operations teams
  • Work closely with development engineers who build the product
  • Interface with Customer Support and other internal teams on customer-facing issues
  • Manage projects addressing long term, permanent resolutions for major issues

Requirements For Continual Service Improvement Engineer

Python
  • Hands-on experience in Excel/SQL/Python
  • Understanding of web applications
  • ITIL, Six Sigma, Black Belt nice to have
  • Incident management or Problem management experience preferred
  • Technical acumen, creativity, interpersonal skills, and emotional intelligence
  • Solid project management skills
  • EU visa mandatory
  • Must work onsite at the Brno office
