Description For FedRAMP Technical Writer

FedRAMP Technical Writer will be responsible for writing and updating FedRAMP documentation for relevance and best practices (policies, procedures, System Security Plan, and additional authorization documentation). The writer will work with multiple teams including application development, cloud engineering, security, and others to detail new features and improvements for FedRAMP and other high compliance releases. They will develop and maintain documentation for FedRAMP and DoD defined controls for Low, Moderate, and high security impact level systems based on NIST baseline controls. The role requires detail-oriented technical writing with security auditing/assessment experience, collaboration with various teams, strong written and oral communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities For FedRAMP Technical Writer

  • Write and update FedRAMP documentation for relevance and best practices
  • Work with multiple teams to detail new features and improvements for FedRAMP and other high compliance releases
  • Develop and maintain documentation for FedRAMP and DoD defined controls
  • Collaborate and review System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), and other documents with various stakeholders
  • Explain information effectively and influence changes in processes and behaviors
  • Create clear and convincing written documentation
  • Identify problems and generate solutions using sound judgment

Requirements For FedRAMP Technical Writer

Linux
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6+ years of experience
  • Experience with technical documentation related to FIPS 199, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53 REV 4 or 5
  • Understanding of complex technological concepts
  • Experience creating Incident Response/Disaster Recovery Plans, Contingency Plans, and POAMs
  • Experience writing controls and maintaining SSPs
  • Experience with cloud concepts, security concepts, and secure network communication techniques and protocols
  • High quality, accuracy and attention to detail in writing
  • US Citizen or US Person (no sponsorship offered)
