Network Developer 3

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Network Developer to support the design, deployment, and operations of their large-scale global cloud computing environment. This role primarily focuses on network fabric and systems development, requiring deep understanding of networking protocols combined with strong programming skills for automation.

The position involves working with a global network infrastructure that includes hundreds of thousands of network devices supporting millions of servers, connected through dedicated backbone infrastructure and the Internet. As an IC3 (Individual Contributor Level 3) position, you'll be responsible for network lifecycle management, collaboration with project managers, and serving as a technical lead for team projects.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Network build and upgrade project participation
• Development of new procedures and runbooks
• Mentoring junior engineers
• Participating in network solution and architecture design
• Leading post-event root cause analysis
• Developing automation scripts for routine tasks
• Serving as SME on software development projects for network automation
• Supporting network vendor software bug fixes

The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience, with strong expertise in network automation, BGP, TCP/IP, and root cause analysis. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud infrastructure while contributing to Oracle's global cloud operations.
