Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Principal Software Developer to join their Kubernetes Engine (OKE) team. This role focuses on designing and developing highly available distributed systems for managing Kubernetes deployments at scale. The position involves working with cutting-edge cloud infrastructure, contributing to a service used by various internal and external customers.

The role sits within the OCI organization, which provides high-performance, highly available cloud infrastructure services combining public cloud flexibility with on-premises control. You'll be working specifically on the Oracle Kubernetes Engine, building and maintaining the managed Kubernetes experience while integrating deeply with OCI services.

As a Principal Engineer, you'll be responsible for architecting new features, debugging complex distributed systems, and improving operational efficiency. The role requires expertise in large-scale system design, proficiency in languages like Java or Golang, and deep knowledge of container orchestration platforms, particularly Kubernetes.

Requirements For Software Developer 5

  • Ten or more years of experience with large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience with Java or Golang and scripting languages
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems

  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Strong communication skills and systematic problem-solving approach
