The Data Center Engineering Analytics & Modeling (DCEAM) organization at Oracle is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team. This role combines platform hardware design and data center infrastructure engineering with data science to enable data-driven decisions in data center design, deployment, and operations.
The position requires expertise in developing ETLs, data pipelines, and software solutions that support DCEAM objectives. You'll work closely with mechanical engineers and data scientists to develop requirements and scope software solutions, while also partnering with Oracle Hardware solutions delivery teams to migrate software for larger platforms.
As a senior engineer, you'll be responsible for establishing proper data collection and analytical capabilities, supporting data scientists in developing strategic solutions, and creating visualization tools for non-data teams. The role involves working with various technologies including Python, SQL, web frameworks, and cloud platforms.
The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of software development experience, strong Python programming skills, and knowledge of database systems. Experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) and Oracle Application Express (APEX) is preferred. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $79,800 to $178,100 annually, along with comprehensive benefits including medical insurance, 401(k), and flexible vacation.
This role provides an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in data center operations while contributing to Oracle's cloud infrastructure development. The position requires a self-starter mentality, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across matrix organizations. While work can be performed remotely, some travel to OCI data centers and development centers may be required.
