Their flagship product, the OrganOx metra® normothermic machine perfusion (NMP) system, has already supported over 4,000 liver transplant operations worldwide. They're seeking a Clinical Research Engineer to join their innovative team in Madison, NJ.

The role combines technical expertise with clinical research, requiring deep knowledge of FDA-approved and investigational medical devices. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, supporting clinical trials, training staff, and bridging the gap between clinical applications and engineering development. They'll work closely with research centers, support protocol development, and ensure quality data collection and analysis.

Responsibilities For Clinical Research Engineer

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of OrganOx FDA approved and investigational products
  • Serve as subject matter expert on device and procedures during IDE studies
  • Support training of OrganOx employees and customers
  • Attend cases with investigational/research device as technical resource
  • Support development of clinical study protocols
  • Support data collection and analysis
  • Assist in development of study-specific database
  • Support writing and review of clinical study reports
  • Interface with Development and Engineering teams

Requirements For Clinical Research Engineer

  • Certified Clinical Perfusionist degree strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in health profession, science, or engineering (Master's preferred)
  • Experience with perfusion devices and management of patients or donor organs
  • Previous medical device industry experience preferred
  • Computer literacy with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel regularly within North America
  • Right to work in the USA
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
