Engineering Leader (Founding Engineer)

Orita is seeking an Engineering Leader (Founding Engineer) to join their team and make a significant impact on their product, culture, and growth. As a key member of the engineering team, you'll report directly to the CEO, Daniel Brady, who has a PhD in Neurobiology and extensive experience in building data science teams.

Their unique approach involves using advanced mathematics and machine learning to optimize marketing strategies for direct-to-consumer brands, resulting in more effective and efficient communication with subscribers.

As the Lead Engineer, you'll be responsible for driving product and feature development, conducting code reviews, and serving as the primary liaison between engineering and the Founding Product Manager. You'll work on enhancing Orita's self-service platform and drive innovation in their product offerings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both backend and frontend development, with at least 6 years of industry experience. You should be proficient in Python, Flask, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.js. Experience in building data-intensive applications and previous roles as a CTO or Founding Engineer are considered a plus.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $240,000, based on experience.
