Senior Staff Security Engineer, Cloud Security

Outreach is seeking a Senior Staff Security Engineer for Cloud Security to join their team. The ideal candidate has the skills of a site reliability engineer, with a background in security and a deep understanding of cloud security principles and tools. This role focuses on building and maintaining capabilities like cloud security posture management, web application firewalls, and API security gateways. The position involves working with engineering partners across the organization and sometimes directly with customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating Outreach's CSPM, vulnerability management, web application firewall, and API security solutions
• Researching the threat landscape and recommending security solutions
• Driving vulnerability remediation for cloud & infrastructure vulnerabilities
• Leading initiatives to implement new cloud & infrastructure security capabilities
• Assisting the security team with operations requiring cloud security expertise
• Ensuring cross-company collaboration between security and engineering teams

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in Security Engineering, preferably in SaaS companies
• Experience with AWS and Azure environments and administration
• Expertise in vulnerability management & cloud security posture management
• Success working in cloud-native, DevOps environments
• Strong collaboration and documentation skills
• Experience in evaluating and implementing security programs
• Excellent interpersonal, management, and communication skills
