Description For Software Engineer - Payments (Go)

Paddle, a leading Merchant of Record platform serving over 5000 software sellers globally, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Payments and Checkout Group. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical payment infrastructure that processes hundreds of millions of dollars monthly.

The position involves developing and maintaining financially-critical systems, primarily working with Go and occasionally migrating legacy PHP services. You'll be part of a dynamic team focused on improving payment acceptance and checkout conversion rates, collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, and designers.

As a Software Engineer at Paddle, you'll be responsible for the full development lifecycle - from initial concept and planning through to deployment and monitoring. The company offers an impressive benefits package including stock options, private healthcare, unlimited holidays, and 4 months of paid family leave regardless of gender. Paddle embraces a digital-first approach, allowing for remote work flexibility while maintaining a collaborative and transparent culture built on their core values: Paddle for others, Paddle together, and Paddle simply.

This is an ideal opportunity for a mid-level engineer who wants to make a significant impact in the fintech space while working with modern technologies and practices. The role offers extensive learning opportunities through hands-on experience with large-scale systems, an annual learning fund, and regular training programs.
