Description For Federal Compliance Engineer

Palantir Technologies, a world-changing company, is seeking a Federal Compliance Engineer to join their team in New York City. This role is crucial in implementing and auditing security controls across Palantir's entire product line.

As a Federal Compliance Engineer, you'll work closely with various teams to shape security controls and cultivate a robust approach to risk management. Your expertise in navigating complex Federal regulatory frameworks such as FedRAMP, DoD SRG, and CMMC will be essential in providing practical guidance on technical architecture, documentation, and operational concerns.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with engineers to interpret and map compliance requirements
  • Facilitating operational and regulatory outcomes for US Government clients
  • Proposing and implementing operational improvements
  • Guiding technical and operational decision-making
  • Evaluating and advising on new US Government certification programs
  • Managing and participating in audits

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience with compliance audits and US Government compliance
  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and security concepts
  • Experience with distributed applications on cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex requirements effectively
  • Proficiency in security concepts and continuous monitoring tools

Requirements For Federal Compliance Engineer

  • 3+ years experience with compliance audits (FedRAMP, PCI, SOC2, HIPAA, etc.) and prior US Government compliance and audit experience
  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and security concepts
  • Experience implementing security controls and assessing compliance in distributed applications on cloud infrastructure
  • Ability to clearly convey compliance requirements
  • Proficiency with security concepts and tooling for continuous monitoring
  • Willingness and eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance
