Developer - Backend - Cloud Services

Panopto is seeking a Backend Software Developer to help build high-performance services. As a developer, you'll ensure scalable systems remain robust while delivering quick turnaround for growing requests and millions of hours of content monthly. You'll simplify and streamline product maintenance, and build fundamental architectural cornerstones. This role participates in on-call rotation, responding to alerts outside normal hours when on-call.

Key responsibilities include:

• Backend Engineering: Coding and technical designs in high-scale systems
• Software Development: Experience with IaC, relational databases, automation frameworks, caching systems, web servers, and Python
• Detail Oriented: Strong attention to detail and drive to improve things
• Collaboration: Working with a talented team of engineers

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Computer science fundamentals
• Software engineering skills
• Clear communication skills
• Customer focus
• Willingness to take on various projects

Panopto offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $130,000 USD per year, with bonus eligibility. The company provides market-competitive benefits including health insurance, retirement savings plans, and paid time off.
