Description For Junior PHY Algorithms Engineer

Parallel Wireless is at the forefront of revolutionizing mobile networks through their innovative Open RAN solutions. They are seeking a Junior PHY Algorithms Engineer to join their team in the North site (Kinneret area). This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with experienced wireless communication algorithms engineers on cutting-edge cellular communication algorithms for 4G products.

The position involves working with advanced telecommunications technology, focusing on the physical layer of wireless communications. You'll be responsible for maintaining and improving 4G wireless communication simulations, designing algorithms, and implementing solutions from research to production. This is an ideal role for someone with a strong foundation in electrical engineering and digital signal processing who wants to grow in the telecommunications industry.

Responsibilities For Junior PHY Algorithms Engineer

  • Maintain, improve and add features to 4G wireless communication transmitter/receiver Matlab simulation
  • Design, define, and develop PHY algorithms based on system requirements
  • Implement algorithms from research to simulation level to official release
  • Support software & system teams with algorithm implementation, verification & integration

Requirements For Junior PHY Algorithms Engineer

  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge in digital communication theory & digital signal processing
  • Experience and high abilities in Matlab
  • Independent problem solver with excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • 1-2 years of experience in PHY/RF wireless modems development (Advantage)
  • Knowledge in wireless communication & OFDM systems (Advantage)
  • Knowledge in physical layer specifications of 4G or 5G-NR (Advantage)
  • M.Sc with a major in communication systems theory and/or signal processing (Advantage)
