Staff SW Engineer, Infra & DevOps

PayPal is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Infrastructure and DevOps to join their Cloud Engineering and DevOps team, focusing on Venmo's infrastructure. This role combines Cloud Engineering with SRE and DevOps practices, managing infrastructure end-to-end including operations, automation, security, compliance, and release engineering.

The position offers an opportunity to work with PayPal's global two-sided network that connects hundreds of millions of merchants and consumers. You'll be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of Venmo's user-facing services and production systems, while working with cutting-edge technologies including AWS, EKS, Docker, GitHub Enterprise, Terraform, and more.

As a Staff Engineer, you'll have the autonomy to lead key initiatives, shape technical direction, and mentor teams. The role requires extensive experience in cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, Bash, or Go.
