The role is within the "Merchant Care" tribe, focusing on creating tools and solutions to enhance merchant experience and payment management. The position combines technical leadership with hands-on development, requiring expertise in Python/Java and distributed systems. The tech stack includes Python, FastAPI, Flask, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, Docker, AWS, Java, PHP for backend, and React for frontend.
As a Senior Backend Developer, you'll lead a squad while actively contributing to development, manage deployments, coordinate with architecture teams, and maintain technical excellence. Responsibilities For Senior Backend Developer
- Be the technical mentor of the squad, supporting developers in their projects while contributing to development
- Manage production deployments and monitoring independently
- Ensure alignment with other Lead Developers on ongoing projects
- Lead and actively participate in technical design in coordination with product management
- Coordinate with Architecture teams to implement architectural vision
- Enforce technical best practices including security, performance, code reviews, and peer programming
Requirements For Senior Backend Developer
- 5 years of experience as a developer with successful tech lead experience
- Mastery of Python and/or JAVA
- Knowledge of distributed systems (e.g., microservices architecture)
- Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL or others)
- Demonstrates curiosity and ability to share knowledge with pedagogy and patience
