Summer 2025 Software Engineering Internship

PDT Partners, a quantitative investment manager, is offering a 10-week Summer 2025 Software Engineering Internship program for talented engineering students. The program is designed for undergraduate juniors up to PhD students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other highly-technical fields.

Interns will work closely with senior developers on technically-challenging projects, contributing to PDT's technology-critical, algorithmic trading business. The program offers:

• Mentorship from deeply technical, hands-on developers
• Exposure to custom-designed software for large-scale financial data handling, real-time events, and batch processing
• Opportunities to work on client and server-side implementations
• Learning experiences in financial markets, risk metrics, and portfolio management
• Engagement with trading technologies like FIX messaging and order management systems

Projects may involve:

• Constructing and analyzing large-scale data sets
• Applying new idioms, techniques, and algorithms in areas such as program correctness, maintainability, and efficiency
• Exploring distributed computing, multi-threaded programming, and scientific programming
