QA Engineer - Intern (India/Remote)

Peakflo is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer Intern to join their dynamic team. The intern will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products through manual testing and developing automated tests. They will collaborate with the QA lead, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manual Testing:

   • Create, maintain, and execute manual test cases based on project requirements
   • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing
   • Document and track defects, working with the development team to resolve issues

2. Automation Testing:

   • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools
   • Execute automated test suites and analyze results
   • Continuously improve automated testing frameworks and processes

3. Programming and Scripting:

   • Utilize programming languages such as Python/Java/JavaScript to enhance test automation frameworks
   • Write SQL queries for data integrity validation and database testing
   • Develop scripts for test data preparation and test environment setup

4. Collaboration and Communication:

   • Work with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
   • Report daily status to the QA lead and communicate test progress, results, and potential risks
   • Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and sprint planning sessions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Strong understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies
• Familiarity with manual testing techniques and tools (e.g., Notion, Jira, TestRail)
• Knowledge of automation testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, or Appium)
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or JavaScript preferred)
• Basic understanding of SQL and database testing
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Understanding of financial concepts or experience in the fintech industry
• Certification in software testing (ISTQB, CSTE, etc.)
