MongoDB Database Support Engineer

Percona is seeking a passionate MongoDB Database Support Engineer to join their remote team. As a MongoDB Engineer, you'll be on the front line, providing top-tier professional technical support for MongoDB, solving complex problems for customers with demanding deployments. You'll also play a crucial role in the MongoDB support organization, assisting fellow engineers, creating content, and influencing product strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

• Resolving complex MongoDB issues for customers
• Collaborating with other departments
• Leading in blogging and support content creation
• Contributing to product strategy

Required skills and experience:

• Excellent knowledge of RDBMS and MongoDB (configuration, schema design, performance tuning, backup solutions, replica sets, sharding)
• Linux system administration
• Experience with virtualized environments and cloud providers
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• English proficiency

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Percona Backup for MongoDB
• MongoDB Atlas experience
• Basic Postgres DBA troubleshooting
• Knowledge of monitoring tools and configuration management solutions
• Python and Go programming skills
• Hands-on MySQL experience (2+ years)
