Senior ML Engineer/Researcher

PlayAI is at the forefront of generative voice and conversational LLMs, building state-of-the-art conversational AI products through Speech Synthesis and Voice Cloning models. Our mission is to create hyperrealistic conversational voice agents and voice AI infrastructure that enables businesses, developers, and creators to build the most human-like automated experiences.

As a Senior ML Engineer/Researcher, you'll join a rapidly growing startup that has raised $20M+ in seed funding and serves 1M monthly active users and 250K developers. You'll be a founding engineer with the opportunity to shape the future of Conversational AI.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and building large-scale data pipelines
• Experimenting with and improving Voice LLM architectures for better quality, expressiveness, and latency
• Enhancing inference infrastructure to optimize costs and performance
• Scaling and optimizing LLM distributed training infrastructure

We're looking for candidates who:

• Have proven experience in deep learning and distributed training of LLMs
• Are autonomous and resourceful with a growth mindset
• Have hands-on experience with PyTorch, Python, and C++
• Possess knowledge of Generative Models and Transformers
• Ideally have familiarity with Speech Synthesis
