Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Core Platform

As a Senior/Staff Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Plus' autonomous onboard software infrastructure. You'll collaborate with experts in computer vision, robotics, machine learning, embedded systems, mechatronics, and functional safety to create a highly reliable runtime system that powers the autonomous driving platform.

Your main responsibilities will include:

1. Designing robust architecture for distributed embedded systems with multimodal sensing support
2. Integrating advanced hardware features to support sophisticated deep learning models
3. Developing and maintaining a high-performance C++ runtime engine
4. Optimizing system performance and scalability
5. Enhancing toolchains for system diagnostics and tuning
6. Collaborating with other teams to implement new features and improve existing ones

The ideal candidate should have:

• A BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
• 3-7 years of industry experience with the latest versions of C++
• Experience with RTOS and Linux kernel tracing
• Familiarity with ROS or commercial DDS (preferred)
