Frontend Engineer

Pointhound is revolutionizing how people travel by making credit card points work for them. As a Y Combinator-backed startup led by experienced founders who previously built and sold Feather for $75M, we're on a mission to make travel accessible to everyone through smart credit card rewards management.

As our Frontend Engineer, you'll be instrumental in creating intuitive interfaces that help users navigate the complex world of credit card points and flight redemptions. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies like React, TypeScript, and NextJS while having the opportunity to shape our product's frontend architecture from the ground up.

You'll be joining a team with proven experience in building and scaling successful consumer businesses. Our founding team brings deep expertise from their previous venture, and you'll benefit from their mentorship while working in an environment that understands both technical excellence and business success.

The role offers competitive compensation ($100,000 - $150,000), comprehensive benefits, and equity (0.20% - 1.50%). You'll work remotely with a dynamic team that values initiative, attention to detail, and passion for creating exceptional user experiences.

Key responsibilities include building intuitive interfaces for complex points calculations, developing modern web applications, implementing responsive designs with Tailwind CSS, and contributing to our frontend architecture. You'll also work with serverless platforms, integrate various backend services, and help implement user analytics.

We're looking for someone with strong proficiency in React and TypeScript, experience with NextJS, expertise in modern CSS frameworks (particularly Tailwind CSS), and solid understanding of NodeJS and serverless architecture. Experience with PostgreSQL, error reporting systems, and user analytics implementation is also important.
