As a Backend Engineer at Prime, you'll be instrumental in building an end-to-end lending platform powered by superior small business data and intelligence. You'll work on problems related to data modeling, third-party integrations, data scale, financial automation, and application integrity.
The role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on a small but experienced engineering team, influencing the company's architecture and technical roadmap. You'll be working with technologies like Python, JavaScript, AWS, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Flask, and React, among others.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving software development for customer-facing and internal applications
- Collaborating with engineers and cross-functional partners
- Influencing architecture and technical roadmap
- Writing high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code
- Troubleshooting issues and solving customer pain points
The ideal candidate should have:
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience with the complete development cycle
- Excellent communication skills and a growth mindset
- Experience with Python/Flask, AWS, API Development, and databases

Responsibilities For Backend Engineer
- Drive the software development of our customer facing and internal facing applications
- Collaborate with other engineers and cross functional partners to delight our customers
- Influence and develop our architecture and technical roadmap
- Write high quality, maintainable and scalable code

Requirements For Backend Engineer
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience with the complete development cycle, from product definition to delivery
