Description For Infrastructure Security Engineer

Prosper, a pioneering peer-to-peer marketplace lending platform founded in 2005, is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer to join their team in San Francisco. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud security solutions, primarily within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

As an Infrastructure Security Engineer at Prosper, you'll be at the forefront of protecting the company's cloud-based infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include implementing comprehensive data security and vulnerability management practices, crafting personalized security automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations such as PCI and SOC1/2.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of related experience (or 3 years with a Master's degree), including at least 3 years of hands-on cloud security experience with GCP. Responsibilities For Infrastructure Security Engineer

  • Support the organization with comprehensive data security and vulnerability management practices in cloud environments, utilizing specialized GCP security solutions
  • Craft personalized security automation solutions, especially using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
  • Detect and resolve security misconfigurations within GCP while ensuring compliance with regulations such as PCI and SOC1 and 2
  • Develop and maintain security documentation, guidelines, and procedures specifically designed for GCP environments
  • Enhance monitoring capabilities and bolster security strategies across various cloud and data center environments
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for addressing security incidents within GCP

Requirements For Infrastructure Security Engineer
