As an Infrastructure Security Engineer at Prosper, you'll be at the forefront of protecting the company's cloud-based infrastructure. Responsibilities For Infrastructure Security Engineer
- Support the organization with comprehensive data security and vulnerability management practices in cloud environments, utilizing specialized GCP security solutions
- Craft personalized security automation solutions, especially using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Detect and resolve security misconfigurations within GCP while ensuring compliance with regulations such as PCI and SOC1 and 2
- Develop and maintain security documentation, guidelines, and procedures specifically designed for GCP environments
- Enhance monitoring capabilities and bolster security strategies across various cloud and data center environments
- Participate in an on-call rotation for addressing security incidents within GCP
- Develop comprehensive runbooks for security incident response using Chronicle
Requirements For Infrastructure Security Engineer
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree
- Minimum of 3 years of cloud security experience, demonstrating proficiency in using GCP security tools
- Proficiency in scripting with Python for automating security-related tasks in GCP environments
- Practical experience in implementing security as code specifically within GCP settings using tools like Terraform
- Extensive knowledge of GCP security concepts, technologies, and best practices
- Experience in writing runbooks using Chronicle
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional written and verbal communication
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Preferred certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer or relevant GCP security certifications
