Responsibilities For Site Reliability Engineer
- Ensure services and systems reliability focusing on scalability, latency, performance, and availability
- Develop systems and maintain key components to automate and minimize human labor
- Training and mentoring - both technical and customer satisfaction oriented
- Develop readable and reusable code using standard patterns and libraries
- Design solutions for current and future business requirements
- Create clear documentation like runbooks and operational guides
- Implement observability metrics to enhance application reliability
- Lead incident response for issues
- Leverage new technologies and automation to reduce costs
- Eliminate technical debt and identify scaling bottlenecks
- Drive business results across multiple teams
- Set technical strategy and define technical roadmaps
Requirements For Site Reliability Engineer
- Experience in Object Oriented Programming with Python or Go
- Experience with Terraform, AWS, Docker, Vault, ProxySQL, and Gitlab
- Automation, Infrastructure as Code, Python Scripting, Bash shell scripting and Unix system admin
- 5 Years working in an SRE role
- Two years verifiable experience working with terraform on AWS in production
- Intermediate-level experience with MySQL or other relational databases
- Logical and analytical thinking for problem-solving
- Strong process improvement and analysis skills
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to achieve mutually agreeable solutions
