Lead Backend Developer

Our client, Qode, is seeking an expert Lead Java/Python Engineer with at least 6 years of experience to join their team. This role requires expertise in Java, Python, and LLM/GenAI, as well as image identification. The ideal candidate should be driven by solving challenging problems and working on cutting-edge AI and backend solutions.

Key Responsibilities: • Lead backend development efforts using Java, Python, Postgres, and AI techniques • Evaluate technologies, tune and build Proof of Concepts • Collaborate with cross-functional teams • Participate in pair programming and Test-Driven Development (TDD) • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives • Work closely with Product Owner, Scrum Master, and UX team • Foster teamwork and focus on achieving shared goals

Requirements: • BE/BTech/MTech (CS/IT or MCA) with a focus on Software Engineering • 6+ years of enterprise backend app development experience in Java and Python • At least 3 cases of solving problems using LLM/GenAI & Image identification • Experience in digital maps, indoor positioning, and augmented reality (highly desired) • Excellent problem-solving and experimenting skills • Experience in leading smaller teams and mentoring • Understanding of modern development processes (pair programming, TDD, Agile) • Excellent communication skills • Thrives in an environment of uncertainty and solving cutting-edge problems
