Qualcomm, a pioneer in connected car technologies for over a decade, is seeking an Automotive Embedded Software Engineer specializing in camera technology. This role is crucial in shaping the future of autonomous vehicles and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of designing and architecting camera, display, and image processing software for Qualcomm's automotive Snapdragon camera processors. Your work will directly contribute to the development of next-generation imaging features used in ADAS and automotive functional safety.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing cutting-edge automotive camera features adhering to strict safety standards
  2. Collaborating with high-profile automotive manufacturers
  3. Working across various HLOS frameworks powering future vehicles
  4. Participating in the entire software development lifecycle, from design to testing and debugging

Responsibilities For Automotive Embedded Software Engineer - Camera

  • Design and implement new automotive camera related features following defined Automotive SW Safety Standards
  • Participate in design meetings discussing customer requirements and formulate feature design documents
  • Participate in test development and test automation to increase test coverage benchmarks
  • Debug real time issues reported by automotive manufacturers in an actual vehicle test drive
  • Work with research and development group to integrate and commercialize innovative applications
  • Fast prototyping for feasibility study on next generation of use case scenarios
  • Develop compelling demo use cases for tradeshows and conferences
  • Propose innovative suggestions for optimizations and enriching enhancements for upcoming HW generations

Requirements For Automotive Embedded Software Engineer - Camera

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Strong working knowledge of C and C++ programming
  • Experience with Linux build system
  • Experience with Linux on-target debugging (adb, logging, etc.)
  • Working experience with Git/Perforce source code management systems
  • Experience in one or more of the following HLOS environments: Android framework, Automotive Grade Linux, QNX, GreenHills
  • Detailed oriented with strong analytical and debugging skills
