Description For Automotive Graphics Embedded Software Engineer

Qualcomm is seeking an Automotive Graphics Embedded Software Engineer to join their automotive graphics software team in Toronto. This role focuses on delivering graphics driver and feature development across Qualcomm's automotive chipsets, working with various platforms and operating systems including QNX, Greenhill Integrity, Linux, Android, and Hypervisors. The position requires expertise in embedded systems, graphics drivers, and automotive software development.

The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in C/C++ and experience with kernel mode driver development. They will work on developing graphics drivers compliant with functional safety requirements, implementing virtualization solutions, and collaborating with automotive OEMs. The role involves both pre and post-silicon development, performance optimization, and debugging complex software issues.

Responsibilities For Automotive Graphics Embedded Software Engineer

  • Develop graphics drivers compliant with functional safety requirements
  • Develop graphics driver on the virtualization environment
  • Work with Automotive OEM and Qualcomm customer engineering team to triage and debug customer issues
  • Design and develop new automotive graphics features

Requirements For Automotive Graphics Embedded Software Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • Embedded C and C++ coding skills
  • Kernel mode driver development
  • 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
