DevOps Engineer/IT Engineer, Sr

At Qualcomm, we are seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer/IT Engineer with over 3 years of experience in supporting source code management systems and developing automation. This role will work with SCM systems like ClearCase, DesignSync, Perforce & Github, as well as develop automation to manage these systems, particularly within large hardware engineering organizations. The ideal candidate will blend technical expertise, leadership, and excellent communication skills to support a highly complex hardware engineering environment.

As a DevOps Engineer/IT Engineer at Qualcomm, you will be responsible for developing automation using SDLC practices, leading testing and deployment activities, and collaborating with a diverse, global team of engineers and project managers. You'll work on designing, building, and maintaining SCM services, while also providing ongoing development and operational support. The role requires a strong DevOps mindset, focusing on creating reliable, scalable, and innovative solutions.

Key qualifications include experience with SCM administration, proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You should be comfortable with custom development and scripting using languages such as Python, Shell, and Perl. Familiarity with infrastructure, network management, and Linux administration is essential. Additionally, you'll need to be proficient with log analysis and monitoring tools like Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana to implement monitoring solutions and troubleshoot issues.
