DRAM Design Engineer, Staff (Hsinchu)

Qualcomm is seeking a memory technologist with a strong background in DRAM design and memory architecture. The role involves exploring and developing competitive memory solutions for future products in mobile, compute, and data center applications. The candidate will collaborate closely with process & package technology, SoC design, architecture, and product teams, as well as external memory suppliers, to identify optimal technology solutions and bring them to mass production. This position requires the ability to benchmark various memory solution KPIs and understand their interaction with SoC interfaces. The successful candidate will manage technical interactions with DRAM & IP vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Explore and develop competitive memory solutions for future products
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
• Benchmark memory solution KPIs and their interaction with SoC interfaces
• Manage technical interactions with DRAM & IP vendors
• Bring memory solutions to mass production

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in DRAM circuit design and architecture
• Familiarity with JEDEC standards and roadmap
• Deep understanding of DRAM datasheets and latest design challenges (e.g., LP5/6 and HBM)
• Expertise in memory test, redundancy, and repair methodology
• Excellent communication skills and strong team player
• Experience in Wide IO & HBM DRAM is a plus
