Embedded Real Time Operating System Senior Software Engineer (QuRT OS, Zephyr)

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join their Core Platform Kernel software team. This role focuses on developing and deploying RTOS software across multiple subsystems on Qualcomm chips serving Mobile Handset, XR, Compute, Automotive, Cloud AI, and IoT market segments.

The position involves working with two key real-time operating systems: QuRT OS (Qualcomm's proprietary RTOS) and Zephyr. You'll be responsible for enhancing QuRT OS to leverage the Hexagon processor's capabilities, enabling high-performance, low-power edge AI use cases, 5G applications, and secure audio/sensor implementations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and deploying RTOS software to multiple subsystems
• Designing and implementing new RTOS features
• Maintaining and enhancing continuous integration/test systems
• Customizing and deploying Zephyr RTOS across different subsystems
• Contributing to the Zephyr open-source community

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong background in embedded software development using C, C++, and Assembly
• Experience with multi-core computer architecture
• Proficiency in embedded software debugging tools
• Knowledge of continuous integration systems
• Understanding of automotive software development standards
